and she supposedly ignored her bestie clique for ONE YEAR because they refused to go shopping with her once during their travel trip and kept refusing to take photo with her.

anyway, back to myself.
laptop is officially DEAD. super duper overheated.
so much so that the plastic covering on the pin head of the charger MELTED inside the pinhole. TADAA~! now i cannot charge my laptop!
sent it for servicing yesterday already... amazingly it's still under warranty. i forgot my laptop has 3 years warranty.
but i still need to pay for my peeling touchpad because that's considered wear and tear. and reformatting too. stupid recovery disc. it developed legs, i'd tell you. the CD cover is still around, but the CD is gone~! waste my 50 bucks like that.
anyway, photos will still have to wait because i'm lazy...

anyway, met up with tk clique to celebrate peisuan's and leng's birthday.
yup, it was a super duper belated celebration.
went to a restaurant at lavender called... Lighthouse. there's really a wall inside the restaurant with many pictures of lighthouses. =)
was a happy gathering with many laughter..... this is what you call 'abs training'.

well, she was looking through the tiny spaces in between the counter beside the huge mirror, at the staff. but to jamie and I, she totally looked like she was looking at her own reflection and asking for a refill.

jamie tan went for some painful 'shiAt' massage at bali.
she was talking about her painful massage experience at bali and i asked her what kind of massage it was.
you know, when i asked that question i was thinking like, thai massage or something.
but she reply: shiAt massage.
why? because during the massage it would be so painful you will be crying 'shiAt!'

guess who is this? A-di from Energy? Nope....japanese actor, Oguri Shun, starring as Sano Izumi in Hana Kimi JP version. yup, that's the same role as what Wu Chun has acted as in the taiwanese version of Hana Kimi.
he has a striking resemblance to A-di right? Throughout the show i kept having this feeling that i'm watching A-di acting. -_-"
however it seems like he resembles A-di only in this show. googled his name and realised that he has acted in not only Hana Yori Dango but also Gokusen, both which i've watched.
alright, perhaps i'm really bad at remembering faces.
anyway, he's good. =)
Hana Kimi JP is way better than Hana Kimi TW too. though i'm quite a big fan of Wu Chun.

just watched a mandarin programme up on Channel U hosted by Berlinda Lee. This particular episode is about bile bears.... or rather, about how a singaporean architect has given up his career and choose to help these bile bears. yes, he builds home for them.
A bile bear or battery bear is the term used for Asiatic black bears kept in captivity in Vietnam and China so that bile may be extracted from them for sale as a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The bears are also known as moon bears because of the cream-colored crescent moon shape on their chest. The Asiatic black bear, the one most commonly used on bear farms, is an endangered species.

it's heartbreaking to see those bears being caged up in those extraction cages, some being barely big enough to house them, not just having a tube being inserted through their abdominal wall and into their gall bladder to extract their bile, but also their fingers snapped away. why snap away their fingers? well, it is to save them the trouble of cutting their nails regularly.
i am very disturbed by this thought of cutting away the bear's fingers just so that they need not trouble themselves to trim their nails for them. anyway, trimming their nails is also to protect themselves just in case they got close enough for the bear to claw at them.
ugly, selfish, cruel humans.
some of these bile bears can live up to 25 years being caged up and 'milked' on a daily basis. such long confinement in a tiny cage have brought them severe mental stress so much so that even after being rescued, given proper home with nutritional food and even playgrounds, some of the bears still continued to exhibit strange behaviours. for example, one of the rescued bile bears spend its entire day moving back and forth at a corner of their playground. another stood right in front of its cage, shaking its head left to right repeatedly, while another continued to turn round and round inside its cage. if i have seen such behaviours in those sun bears in the singapore zoological gardens, i would have laughed and said, "how cute!" but as i stared at my television screen, i didn't. i bet you wouldn't, either.
if my memory didnt fail me, they have rescued 168 bile bears so far, with another 7k of them still suffering in those LEGAL bile bear farms, continuing to produce bear bile for manufacturers to produce medicines containing bear bile. i know i'm totally not in the position to comment much about the country legalising bile bear farms, but WHY? Why is such inhuman act legalised? i cannot understand it.
what gives us the rights to capture these asiatic black bears, keep them in tiny cages, stick a rubber tube into their gall bladder, and extract their bile?
is it because we humans are considered superior as compared to the animals?
are we really?
or are we in fact, inferior to them by committing such acts, which are actually worse than beasts (qin shou bu ru)?

met sa at bugis for dinner just now. soup spoon's clam chowder. heehee... they have beeg clams! =) and also cheddar cheese fries from.... i dont know what stall is that.
and we went sasa/watsons shopping! haha... sa wanna buy stuff to slim down her face. and i bought my concealor. it looks good when i test on my hands, hopefully the shade would be right when i put it on my face.... *prays*
as we walked to her office we past by the pet shop. the lop-ear bunnies are so CUTE! the price also very 'cute'..... 180 bucks i think. saw another one at great world city selling for 220 bucks. omg, so ex.... but lop-ear bunnies are really very adorable. they look so kelian and so wu gu.... aww~! hahaha...
then yeah, accompanied sa back to her office to print her stuff. haha, and i camwhored like siaocharbo while she print like another siaocharbo...
having mild migraine.... shucks... always like this de! urgh~!
