went for the wine appreciation course with peg and sa ytd. to be frank, i really have no interest in wine appre, and neither am i 'gian' to drink the wine. but... aiya, nvm la. (waste money lor)
LOL...
not going to do some summary of my workshop because i paid to get the info... muahahaha! yup, me is selfish~! lalala...
but i can tell you one thing.
I HATE RED WINE... IT'S DISGUSTING!
Would love to try dessert wine though....

Fangirl post ALERT!

Tom and Jerry HyungMin were also in the same act but i didn't bother to try to find snapshots of them.
they were imitating Finkl during some concert....

i somehow stumbled upon the vid of their performance last night over at youtube. *clucks tongue* they sure had lots of fun...
YoungSaeng totally sounded as if he's going to burst out laughing at himself whenever it was his turn to sing.

woke up early this morning to bring sa for her hair appointment...
and that made me so sleepy during jap class.

me: *flipping the tag* she's pink.
sa: *points to the blue care bear beside pink* then this one is called blue.
i flipped the tag and saw 'BLUE'.

yup, today is my Quiz DAY. Not the so called quiz week, but quiz day. meaning, all my quizzes are squeezed up into one day. =.=
GREAT!
I did study for all my quizzes. but was feeling damn under-prepared for foundations no matter how many times i read through my lecture notes and tutorials. my uneasiness was founded. the quiz was... @#$%^&*
last semester, the quiz was printed on one side of an A4 sized paper, consisting of 2 questions. this time, it's printed on both side of an A3 sized paper, consisting of 11 questions. *faints*
well, out of the 9 small questions i could do 8. (God bless those who couldnt answer the first two questions)
and for the remaining two longer questions, i could do one....
i guess i could pass. but just a pass is not what i'm aiming for.
dang!
structs is good, and so is jap 2. =)
now for my fangirl part
hyungjoongie was admitted to hospital earlier today because he overdosed on sleeping pills. one article read that he himself visited the local hospital because he felt nauseous, while another read that he was sent to hospital because he was found semi-conscious. =.= either one of them would be true. =)
seemed like he ate another SIX more of his sleeping pills when he still couldnt get to sleep after eating one(as stated).
gosh.... i have no other comments.
and i keep hearing some bugs fluttering/flying around right behind my back. but the moment i turn around, the noise stop. guess i'm getting paranoid with my flying insect-phobia...

well, it's the time of the year again!
hurhur..
met up with the girls last night to celebrate jay's 22nd birthday. Her actual birthday was on the 4th actually. But it doesnt really matter la, huh!
When to this (arabian? turk?) restaurant called Amiran's grill at Pahang street... and jay booked a private room on the second floor whereby we can watch dvd as we ate. COOL! but we didnt watch any dvds la. just randomly popped a CD into it for some background music as we chatted(with loads of laughter too).
the first group laughter came when jay randomly popped Amei's cd into the dvd player and one of her older songs titled 'Qian Shou' started playing. we(namely kk, jay and me) went crazy la! We did what i would name it as 'comic dance' because we simply looked hilariously, ridiculously comical. zh nearly died laughing while cl filmed it down. what? you wanna watch it? NO WAY man! BLEH!
the next amusing incident was the background music. we popped a jazz cd into the player and jay told us that her brother wrote her birthday cards yearly. and i went "REALLY?" and at this point the background music was very nice to emphasize on my surprise by going "Ching ching ching ching ching!" well, you know those standard 'louder and more exciting' part of jazzy music? well, i assume you know... hilarious la!
and as usual, the night was full of CAMWHORING. will post up those (stupid/spastic/silly) photos when jay send me. =)
i think i should talk a little about food right? we took the buffet set... hmm... not much choices of food though. there's only roasted chicken, fish, beef, mixed vege, two choices of soups, mushroom and vege, and two kind of rice. arabian fragrance rice and steamed butter rice. food is a little too herby, salty and tough for my taste. two choices of dessert, caramel creams and another egyptian dessert which i cannot spell the name, is also too sweet for my liking. but the pita bread is nice when you dip it in the 'a little too salty' mushroom soup.
well, i may not really like the food. but the place is really cool! as in, the private room. i like that. =)
alright, i need to go back to my structs tutorial now. spent half a day to complete 5 out of 8 questions. and now i'm going to CONQUER the remaining three. yeah, it's like a battle for me. =.= but i'm sure i can do it! (i just need alot of time)
so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS JAMIE TAN!

oh, and it's actually 7th Sept now. It's my brother's birthday... but who cares?

this weird girl living in my block is really pissing me off.
i guess she's bulimic.
every night at this certain time, i can always hear her coughing and retching super duper loudly from my bedroom....
it's those kind of dry coughing and dry retching, like she's forcing herself to throw up.
gosh.... annoys the hell out of me.
i'm still stuck with my book review.
just how do i write one?
and for japanese class today...
さはませんせい told us something about ドリアン(durian) that kinda shocked the entire class.
guess what? one ドリアン in Japan will cost about 一万円...
10000 Yen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
golden durian or what?
and another interesting story from her.
it was once on Japanese papers as according to her.
one of the residents in some apartment block (or wherever) was eating durian.
and the neighbours thought it was gas leak and called the police.
i totally laughed out loud when せんせい went: 瓦斯瓦斯!

Believe it or not, I've finished reading The Phantom Of The Temple in less than 24 hours since the minute I laid my hands on it.
Nope, it's not because I'm kiasu and wanna finish it ASAP for the sake of my 1250-words book review due in two weeks time, but it's really an engaging novel so much so that I just kept on reading and reading until I flipped the final page.
The Phantom Of The Temple A Judge Dee Mystery by Robert Van Gulik
Try to get your hands on it and give it a try if you have the time to spare. Well, provided you can get a copy of it.
*smirks*
Now, can someone tell me how exactly do I write a book review?

went to the popular bookstore located in my campus today (for the nth time) to look for the book i needed for my book review due in TWO WEEKS TIME.
yes, this book titled The Phantom Of The Temple by Van Gulik is OUT OF STOCK ever since i realised that i need to buy it(which is the third week), not just in the bookstores located in campus, but ISLANDWIDE. yes, you didn't see it wrongly, ISLANDWIDE. or should i say, it doesn't exist in local bookstores anymore? Borders 'do not hold the book'. (i'm quoting the staff who tended to me) Times bookshop... well, the book isn't listed as well. same results with kinokuniya and i bet it would be the same at MPH so i didn't bother anymore.
Was still rather happy when i see the other book also needed for my second book review due much later. but then the worry sets in when i realised that the other book is nowhere to be found. so, i grabbed one of the staff and asked....
"Oh, there's no stock..."
and when would the new stocks be coming in?
"Oh, no more. There is no more..."
!!!!!!!!!
I was like WTH? Peggy suggested that I can try the library. And I did.
HSS library: No copies available.
National Library Board: TRACE PLACED.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh well, luckily my professor is kind enough to borrow me hers... =)
I'm appeased.
I guess i'm now a certified WGM(JoongBo)fanatic. Somehow they can just make me LOL many times.
